  • Design for a Humanised Communication of Dementia: co-creation of an information platform about engaging in meaningful activities
DECOHDE is an exploratory research project that aims to study and explore the design of information resources that are suitable, accessible, attractive and comforting for people with dementia in Portugal, particularly about meaningful activities.

This exploratory research project was carried out between March 2023 and March 2025 by a team of researchers from the University of Aveiro, the ID+, DigiMedia and CINTESIS@RISE research centres. This project is financed by national funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., under reference 2022.03295.PTDC.

As part of this project, a guide was developed for designers and information providers, offering recommendations for designing information for people with dementia. This publication can be accessed at https://doi.org/10.48528/xc5f-1v47
